October 7, 2012 was the second annual FQO Social. As last year it was a "Pot Luck" event held at our house but this year we started earlier at 1:00 PM. This year we decided to hold the event earlier in the month and earlier in the day in hopes it would be warmer. That didn't exactly work out as planned since a cold front came through Saturday night and Sunday's weather was cold and damp. But in spite of the weather eleven of the fourteen FQOs attended with most bringing a guest. We adapted by cleaning out the garage and setting up the food and drink tables and two eating tables there. After eating, just like last year, a few rounds of LCR were played for a dollar a hand. I took home the money from the first round and Barbara Ritter took home the money from the second. Liz Green however is now in debt to two bookies after borrowing a dollar from each to play two rounds. In spite of the weather I think everything went well and everyone had a good time. Thanks to everyone for attending and we hope to see you next year. With better weather maybe.
