In May we took a four week trip to the UK and the Baltic.
During the first weekend in the UK the steam engine Tornado was scheduled to pass close by our friend's house where we were staying. After waiting for about an hour and a half on a cold wet day in the UK (according to the British it was rescheduled not delayed), the Tornado passed through Arlesey in less than fifteen seconds. In fact this was the only picture I was able to get before the train moved out of sight with a speed that had to be approaching ninety mph. The most surprising thing was how quiet it was. It was much more quiet than the electrics.
