August 1, 2012 - This was a Wednesday night session. The White Hall yard was still very full and work space in the yard was cramped. For the most part the session went well. The caboose track switch did have an electrical problem that needed to be fixed during the session. And the tender of engine #34 and the observation car White Hall decided to start derailing. And the Thorny Point turntable decided to get into the act by having a dead spot when aligned for the approach tracks. All will have to be looked into before the next session. On the operations front the Thorny Point yardmaster did try to send three cars to White Hall that belonged in either Brooke or Thorny Point. And since the engineer/conductor of the Thorny Point Extra didn't object the Thorny Point yardmaster was successful. Just what White Hall needed, extra cars!
