December 17,2011 - The 87th OPS session was a standard session with no CEO moves, no MOW moves and nothing really outside of the normal scheduled with the exception of a second Hood turn. And the second Hood turn is becoming normal. We have had it during the last two Saturday sessions and Mike Kipps has gotten all four of them. In fact some are beginning to think Mike might have a girl friend in Hood since he seems to be going there a lot and staying quite a while! Dick was assigned Thorny Point and practiced the much used but rarely effective process of random shotgun car sorting which caused him to spend most of the day in Thorny Point. And Jerry had some sort of "Lacey Springs Two Step" going on for several hours. The dispatcher (Bill) and White Hall yardmaster (Philip) performed excellently and most trains left White Hall on time. For the last session of 2011 it was an unqualified success. That is as far as I'm concerned.
