July 16, 2011 - What a session! This was the first session run under timetable #19. For the first time in a long time we had some new comers, two in fact. A rare situation these days! Mike was assigned the dispatcher position and I think I heard him say I could forget all of the other assignments and only give him the dispatcher position from now on. Or at least that is what I thought I heard. Of course #40 after running from White Hall to Thorny Point and back to White Hall decided to start shorting in White Hall and was not usable again after that. I may work on it one more time and then it is scrap! Skip and Charles did an excellent job in White Hall. And the Hood turn was one of the, if not the, longest we have ever had. It even required double heading from White Hall to Hood and that threw a kink in the schedule! A work extra was run from White Hall to Broadway to fill the Broadway water tank. And an FQO put another engine in the turntable pit. This time in Broadway. For the most part the layout ran well but a few turnouts are still having electrical problems even after they were working after previous maintenance.
