June 18, 2011 - The 79th operating session was the first use of timetable #18, the first session where all non engineer positions were assigned before the session based on the new assignment rotation process, saw the arrival of the first four Hood Brothers Packing refers and was staffed by all FQOs. And in the sprit of no good deed goes unpunished, in spite of doing my annual maintenance and tracking cleaning, engine #40 developed a short, so we didn't get to see if the Bull Frog Snot made any difference and engine #44 developed a demonic personality so both engines were taken out of service. Up until #40 developed its short and couldn't leave Thorny Point everything was running on schedule. After that, not. Steve and Mike did an excellent job with a very busy White Hall yard as did Philip and Bill controlling the mainline trains. Several track issues were identified and the observation car White Hall developed a derailing problem. So there will be quite a bit of between session maintenance!
