February 19, 2011 - The 74th OPS session was the session Charles Curley became FQO #13 with the completion of his assignment as dispatcher. It also saw the continued failure of Bill Mosteller's UT4R even after being repaired by Digitrax. It also saw another new UT4R, this one belonging to Wayland Moore not work in about the same manner as Bill's. And it saw one of the IRDOT devices fail and of course I don't have any spares. I was also the recipient of several gifts. The first were from Bill in the form of MT boxes and a coupler gauge. The second was from Dick in the form of a Spectrum 2-10-0. And the final was from Wayland in the form of some Bull Frog snot to try. The session ran very smoothly even with the interference of the CEO moving from Broadway to White Hall. Thorny Point replacement engine #43 (the one that usually will run from White Hall to Hood and then stop) performed without incident. And White Hall yard was very professionally managed. In fact at one point it was completely MT of cars. And finally the operators are beginning to read the paper work and conform to the operating rules. Maybe there is hope.
