January 15, 2011 - The 72nd OPS session was the first all FQO session and it was run with tighter adherence to the rules. While the session was generally a success it did have its moments. Bill started the session by running #32 off the end of the Broadway turntable. Glenn continuously ran dwarf signals before getting clearance to the next block. The White Hall yard crew called for an extra to run a stock car left in the yard. It turned out the stock car was MT and destined for the Green County CO-OP and could have waited until the next day. A complete waste of money! This same yard crew loaded up the Hood turn to the point it could not finish the job even with the assistance of the extra assigned to move the one stock car. And Mike didn't read his timetable and held up the Mail Express at Stanley by not being in the clear with #30/31. But generally speaking the railroad ran well. Several issues were encountered and solved during the session by the excellent coordination between the dispatcher Jerry (who by the way did an excellent job as dispatcher) and the operator Keith.
