January 5, 2011 - the 71st OPS session was a Wednesday night session and the first session since the ballasting of the mainline from White Hall to Hood. Everything worked well with just a few switch electrical contact problems primarily with the White Hall entrance switch. However these were not consistent (the Keeper went through it just fine) so some more investigation into this will be required. Mark Chase was able to attend, his first attendance since July 2009, and this gave us a full crew so we could hold the session. The CEO traveled from White Hall to the Southern interchange at Broadway which caused a delay in #5 the mail express, much to Mark's displeasure. Hope the CEO doesn't hear about his displeasure!
