The 151st session (it is hard to believe this has been going on this long) saw the end of the Mail Express and the end of timetable #22. Timetable #22 has been the longest active timetable on the E&P but it was time for a change. To commemorate the passing of the Mail Express Wayland made two black flags to be flown on the engine. A nice touch. In fact the flags were done so well I may ask Wayland for a set of five white flags for the extras. We will see. A large section of track in Stanley decided to go dead. Seems one rail joint stopped making contact. How it did this I don't understand. If I didn't want it to make contact there would be no way to prevent it. A mid session repair job got it back in working shape. And the radio/IR Digitrax feature seemed to stop working late in the session, for a second session in a row. That probably means something is amiss and will have to be fixed by Digitrax. Wish me luck. White Hall yard seemed to have more than the usual issues and was causing stress for both the yardmaster and his assistant. In fact I believe both checked into an AA program as a prophylactic just in case this assignment led to out of control drinking. Hopefully by morning both had recovered.
