October 21, 2017 was the date of the 149th and another session with an apprentice. The typical electrical issues (the two bridges just outside of White Hall and a switch in Thorny Point) acted up. I will try and get these resolved before the next session. (Keep alive circuits are also under consideration.) The Broadway turntable finally failed completely. I believe it is the shaft connection under the turntable bridge. This should be fixed before the next session. Dick followed the recommended sequence and engine assignments and his job as dispatcher was much easier since the train order system will automatically write the orders and clearances if the recommended sequence is followed. Dick did find a flaw in the train order system that will be corrected before the next session. The system allowed a clearance for a train that required a Form 19 order without the Form 19 order. On the operations side, the final passenger train rain on schedule. This is rare and probably a result of the dispatcher's focus on the passenger schedules and pressing the White Hall crew to get them out on time. Erwin tackled the pig train and Bill Baskerville tried to make a career out of the Broadway Turn. To be fair he is not the first to make this run a career. Everything considered I believe the session went well and look forward to the next one.
