August 19, 2017 - The 147th session was the first session held in five months. This was the longest down time on the E&P since operations began. April was canceled due to illness, May because of travel and June and July because of a fall and subsequent recovery. On the positive side the 147th session saw another apprentice. It is always good to have new blood. The layout ran well considering the long period of inactivity and the crew performed as expected. Inactivity doesn't seem to have an impact on crew performance. Most all trains got ran with the exception of the work extra to fill the Hopkins Spring water tank. Hopefully that will get run during the next session! White Hall yardmaster Jerry read prepared remarks he developed back in April when he thought he would be the dispatcher. Since the actual sequence of events had not changed his remarks were still pertinent.
