February 18, 2017 - This was one hot session! After working without incident for 144 sessions the Digitrax booster decided to over heat during the 145th session. Go figure. After a short cool down period the system came back up and worked fine for the rest of the session. I will have to look into opening up the shelf to allow for more air to flow over the heat sink. Not to be left out the helix camera system stopped working. This wasn't much of a loss since it is rare to catch a glimpse of your train on the monitor. But a replacement will be found. And finally I didn't fully test out the changes to the Train Order system and some annoying errors presented themselves throughout the session. But dispatcher George took them in stride. More changes will be coming to the Train Order system and hopefully better testing before the next session. Now on to the good stuff. We had a full crew although it was at the last minute. And we had an apprentice which is always nice. The layout ran well and the track in Thorny Point seemed to be OK after the installation of the cobblestones. And the new walkie talkies seemed to work better than the old. So all in all a good session.
