The May 21, 2016 session my have been the session where we bit off more than we could chew. With four extras the availability of crews was an issue. Adding to this the Thorny Point yardmaster held #110 at the yard limits for half a day taking away another crew member available for reassignment. The dispatcher did an excellent job of keeping things moving and found some more errors in the automated train order system (that have now been corrected). The White Hall yardmaster and his assistant also did an excellent job of keeping things on schedule. That is until they brought in the Thorny Point Extra freight on the passenger track and then all was lost. However the CEO made her trip from the RF&P interchange to White Hall on schedule. And that is what really matters. In between assignments (and sometimes during assignments) the crew members conducted an exhausted hunt for deer which were eventually found. There were quite a few electrical issues. One engine kept loosing contact but after moving its tender to another hole on the draw bar that was corrected. A couple of switches in White Hall were giving issues. (These were the newly painted ones and work will be done to fix them.) And of course the switch in Broadway and the switch in Lacey Springs had to get into the act. Another attempt will be made to correct them but I don't expect much in the way of results.
