The 138th session, held on April 16, 2016 can be summarized as "see, you are not paid to think" or "wandering positions". During this session the dispatcher, after a motivational speech during the crew call about keeping the passenger trains on schedule decided with good intentions to adjust the management recommended schedule and hold #110 in White Hall to get #30 out. Only problem was #110 was 18 cars long and took up the entire departure track and both White Hall engines were on the wrong side and could not get to the other side. After a long period of chaos the bottle neck was cleared but none of the passenger trains were now running on schedule. To add insult to injury Erwin could not get #110 up the hill to Flat Top and had to double it using two cabooses. This caused more delays and a caboose shortage until he got back to White Hall. As for the "wandering positions" it seemed quite a few crew decided to abandon their positions for other's. Several delays were caused as searches were initiated for the missing crew members. The final affect of the dispatcher adjusted schedule and engine assignments (the recommended engines were not available since the recommended schedule was not being followed) was engine #44 got assigned to the Southern Interchange. This engine has an over heating issue which it displayed just as it arrive in Broadway and prevented Glenn from being able to finish his assignment. On my side of the fence, I found a coding error in the CI form which I will have fixed before the next session and some switches in Broadway seemed to have contact issues which I will try to fix before the next session. Hopefully everyone had fun and most will be coming back in May for more abuse.
