February 20, 2016 - This was the session of lights. First I noticed the switch position lights and repeaters for the Swift Run switch were not working. Then a call came from the train room that there was smoke. The smoke came from one of the under cabinet lights that gave up the ghost. Other than these issues the layout ran fairly well with the normal switches acting up. Dispatcher Wayland started the session with a reading of the history of train control. The newly improved train order system seemed to work OK. The White Hall yard crew managed to keep all of the passenger trains within the two hour window and in fact the last passenger train of the day ran on schedule. Dan decided to work Furnace with #131 (the N&W interchange) which made him quite late arriving at White Hall. And Glenn decided to embark on a career at Thorny Point which threw the locals behind. All of this combined to end the session about an hour late. An after session audit found most everything where it should have been which indicates a very good session!
