July 18, 2015 - This session had nothing out of the ordinary and should have had a chance to finish in the allotted three hours. It had a chance but that was gone about thirty minutes into the session. It seems our continued commitment to TT/TO and understanding the rules keep slowing the session down. Also there were problems with the Train Order system that stemmed more from a usability issue than anything else. (These will be fixed.) On the bright side Dan attended as the newest apprentice and got a good dose of TT/TO operations. I hope he had fun and will try and come back. Glenn handled the dispatcher stress well and manage to get through the session without compromising our principals too much. (We did have to stop the clock a couple of times through.) On the dark side, the apprentice was involved in two situations. In the first he found himself with the Mail Express behind the Broadway Turn's helper engine 3801 (who was waiting for orders) at Swift Run. It seems the apprentice climbed down from his cab. Assaulted the engineer and took control of 3801 moving it out of the way. Bad boy! In the second situation the apprentice allowed himself to be influenced by an FQO (never a good idea) and run a red light at the RF&P diamond. Very bad boy! Both apprentice and FQO were reprimanded. All in fun of course.
