March 2, 2015 - The 126th session was a special session requested and organized by Mat Thompson for some northern Virginia attendees. Of the six attendees from northern Virginia three had not operated on the E&P before and for the other three it had been seven years since they last operated on the E&P. So I augmented the crew with three FQOs to man the dispatcher, operator and White Hall yardmaster positions. For the most part the session went very smoothly. A couple of the Bachmann consolidations overheated, which is typical. But they both came back after a short rest. Thorny Point had quite a bit of traffic but Mat handled it well. The passenger trains got over two hours late with #20, which is not unusual. Based on responses from the attendees I believe everyone enjoyed themselves which is the only criteria for a good session.
