Attendees: Doug Barry (whym), Erwin Jack (tpym), Rick Lull and Bruce Kaufman.
The 123rd session was a Wednesday night session held on December 3rd. The crew was selected randomly from the list of sign ups. Bruce and Erwin both embarked on careers with their initial assignments. Bruce did manage to get through his assignment to #131 and go on to other assignments. But Erwin did not get through the work in Thorny Point before the end of the session. To be fair to both, the superintendent's car was in Stanley which made #131 harder and it was Erwin's first time in Thorny Point and he ignored the superintendent's suggestion to get in the siding at Brooke before the arrival of #110. Bruce attacked the Hood trestle but no lasting damage was done. We did have several electrical issues including a situation where any short in White Hall would bring down everything. And there were quite a few shorts in White Hall. There were some documentation errors with the materials for the new timetable. And we found a missing railing from the observation car White Hall that most likely got knocked off during the last session when unauthorized figures were place on its observation platform. But all in all things ran well and most of the freight got moved. That just means more work for the night crew.
