August 17, 2013 - What can be said about the 108th session? It started late and ended later? That would pretty much sum it up. After a lunch of burgers and dogs Philip, the dispatcher, started the session with a standard safety briefing and then moved on to the special instructions for the day. Some of which some of the attendees listened to. The CEO made a trip to Hood and that started the cascading of late trains which soon broke the two hour barrier and forced the dispatcher to write orders for most of the remaining scheduled trains. Most passenger trains were running three hours late with the final White Hall to Thorny Point passenger service running four hours late. White Hall stayed busy all day but ended up in good shape. And the Hood Turn managed to deliver the pigs to the receiving dock, not the pig pen. Hood Brothers management was not amused and contacted E&P management which absorbed all the shipping cost associated with this car. E&P management was not amused either. So much for boring flawless sessions.
