July 20, 2013 - Dispatcher Steve started the session with an excellent message to the crew. (You will probably need this glossary to decipher his message.) Under dispatcher Steve's guidance the session went fairly smoothly until it was time for #30. #30 was not ready to leave White Hall until late and could not make its meet with #5 in Stanley in time so fell every further behind schedule. By the time #31 got back to White Hall and #20 was ready to leave #20 was over two hours late which meant it no longer had timetable authority requiring the dispatcher to write some orders. And this cascaded down to #10. The RF&P diamond interlock decided to stop controlling the RF&P signals so every E&P train got instant greens. (This will require going into six year old code to try and determine what managed to change on its own!) Some cars made some trips to towns they were not destined for and some cars remained in towns they should have left and when a pig car turned up in White Hall (no one knowing how it got there) we had to run a second Hood turn. So everything was back to normal on the E&P. Not another one of those annoying flawless sessions.
