April 20, 2013 - The 105th OPS session started off very rough with the failure of a TTX PS2 that took down all of Thorny Point. This was the second failure for this board so now both sides are bad and I can removed the unit completely. Luckily I wired the layout using terminal strips and labeled the buss wires so I just moved the Thorny Point buss wire over to the Hood to Thorny Point section. I will need to replace this TTX PS2 with a DCC Specialties PSX1 before the next session. After I got this hiccup straightened out the session went very smoothly. Almost to smoothly! There were 10 cars on the N&W interchange (one less than the max) and Jerry handled it without issue and showed up at Swift Run on time. There were 10 cars for Hood (one more than allowed) so we broke the Hood turn into a pig train and extra 32 east, the C&O interchange ended up with 16 cars, a record! And Bruce took on the dispatcher duties and was introduced to the new computer system for the first time. Bruce did an excellent job controlling the railroad and writing orders and clearances. Charles and Wayland kept White Hall running smoothly. Mike handled the operator duties without incident. And finally all of the engineers seemed to be paying attention to the timetable and the car cards. In fact the after session audit did not turn up any issues. Good job crew!
